The West Virginia Solid Waste Management Board is proud to host a free two-day statewide training conference on April 28-29, 2026, at the Bridgeport Conference Center in Bridgeport, WV. This event will feature a wide range of guest presenters from both the public and private sectors, offering essential information and practical guidance tailored to the needs of West Virginia's solid waste authorities.
Attendees will gain valuable insights on operations, administration, compliance, sustainability, grants, and more - hearing directly from state agencies, industry leaders, and fellow SWAs. Additionally, there will be many vendors on-hand, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with industry representatives and helpful resources. A vendor reception will be held Tuesday, April 28th, from 4-5pm, following the last session of the day, offering networking and one-on-one conversations with vendors. With multiple perspectives and real-world expertise, this conference is designed to equip authorities with the tools and knowledge they need to strengthen their operations and enhance service to their communities.
